MOUNT VERNON — Marilyn Doris Wilbur, 81, passed away at Country Club Retirement Campus, Mount Vernon, on Oct. 18, 2009.
Born Nov. 18, 1927, in Pontiac, Mich., she graduated from the University of Michigan, School of Engineering. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling all of her life. She was an avid bridge player, and quite a cook — specializing in desserts. She was a 50-year member of the Presbyterian Church of Wyoming.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Carol Palmer; and her twin sister, Carolyn Flynn.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Irvin Wilbur; sons, Matthew (Julie) Wilbur, Allen (Patricia) Wilbur and Paul (Mary) Wilbur; grandchildren, Kristen (Jeff) Martin, Alex Wilbur, Cory Wilbur, Ryan Wilbur, Polly (Patrick) Trenor, David Wilbur, Jackson Wilbur, Rachel (Josh) Baugus, and Tory and Robert Davis; four great-granddaughters, Ava and Grace Martin, and Danielle and Ayden Baugus. She is also survived by her sister, Judy (Jim) Braid; brother-in-law, Hal Flynn; and several nieces and nephews.
