SUNBURY — Floyd Everett “Deac” Deacon, 78, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009.
He was a resident of Country View of Sunbury with his wife, Ann “Annie” (Phillips) Deacon. He was born Sept. 28, 1931, in Pike County to Gladys (Grooms) and Floyd Deacon Sr.
He is survived by sisters, Shirley Schrader, Carol Bizzarri, Kay Cross and families; as well as friends, his Country View family and his church family at Genoa Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister, Diane Ryan.
Floyd’s Home Going Celebration service will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Road, at Ohio 3, Westerville, OH 43082. Pastor Wayne Booth will officiate and friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at a later date; arrangements by DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
