Denny Cochran

MOUNT VERNON — Denny Cochran, 59, of Mount Vernon died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at his residence.

He was born May 28, 1950, in Mount Vernon to Wayne E. and Margaret (Burden) Cochran. Denny was a self-employed satellite technician. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, western movies, OSU, the Pittsburgh Steelers football, and racing slot cars. But most of all he enjoyed his family.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 29 years, Sheri (Hill) Cochran; one son, Dustin (Nina) Cochran of Columbus; two daughters, Kelly Cochran of Mount Vernon and Porsche (Mike) Might of St. Louis, Ill.; his mother, Margaret Cochran of Mount Vernon; one sister, Karen (Thomas) Frye of Fredericktown; cherished granddaughter, Zoe Cochran of Mount Vernon; sisters-in-law, Cindy (Randy) Harris and Jane (Brent) Vail, both of Fredericktown; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Emma and Andy Hill of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne E. Cochran.

Friends may call at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon, on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m.
