MOUNT VERNON — Ann Louise Blubaugh, 78, of Sychar Road, Mount Vernon, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at the Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center.
She was born April 11, 1931, in Minerva, Ohio, to the late Fred and Grace (Blubaugh) Bolanz. Mrs. Blubaugh was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Women’s Guild. She was the owner of the former Nutcracker Shop in Mount Vernon.
She is survived by six sons, Stephen (Socco) Blubaugh of Madrid, Spain, Philip Blubaugh of Gambier, Thomas (Patty) Blubaugh of Peninsula, Ohio, Christopher Blubaugh of Cleveland, Mark Blubaugh of Los Angeles, Calif., and Douglas (Darcy) Blubaugh of Brick, N.J.; three daughters, Grace (Richard) Graham of Columbus, Margaret (Mark) Johnson of Greeley, Colo., and Rebecca Blubaugh of Peninsula, Ohio; grandchildren, Jason Wier, Aaron Blubaugh, Devin Blubaugh, Sarah Graham, Matt Graham, Emily Johnson, Christine Johnson, Catherine Blubaugh, Hanna Blubaugh, Valerie Blubaugh, Amber Tulowiecki, Mary Margaret Blubaugh, Peter Blubaugh, Anna Blubaugh and Libby Blubaugh; two great-grandchildren, Alec and Farrah; two brothers, Thomas (Alice) Bolanz of East Rochester, Ohio, and David Bolanz of Akron; two sisters, Joan Wittensolder of Hartville, Ohio, and Jane McFarland of Akron.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Blubaugh; and two brothers, Jerry Bolanz and Walter Bolanz.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where a rosary will follow at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery in Danville.
