MOUNT VERNON — Letha E. Hannan, 90, of Bellville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, in The Laurels of Mount Vernon following an extended illness.
She was born May 16, 1919, in Perrysville to Lloyd and Florence (Fry) Spohn.
Survived by a daughter, Marilyn (David) Smith; a granddaughter, Andrea J. Smith; two sisters, Mary Van Sickle and Evelyn “Jean” Spohn; and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Hannan; two brothers, Chester (Marjorie) Spohn and Raymond (Jannette) Spohn; a sister, Rosie (Bob) Bowman; and a brother-in-law, Orland Van Sickle.
Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Douglas J. Pretorius will officiate. Burial will follow in Zion Four Corners Cemetery.
