DANVILLE — Marcella (Yearous) Blaisdell, 70, of East Main Street, Danville, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 24, 1939, in Mount Vernon to the late Byron and Eva (McMillan) Yearous. Marcella was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had worked at Cuddy Farms and Miller Hardware, both in Danville. She was a 1957 graduate of Danville High School and a member of the Danville Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Jack) Holsky and Terry Breckler of Danville; a son, Jim (Lisa) Blaisdell of Howard; 11 grandchildren, Shawn (Jen) Dawson of Johnstown, Robin (Corey) Graham of Mount Vernon, Brandon (Sarah) Dawson of Brinkhaven, Duston (Danielle) Dawson of Howard, Jamie (Melissa) Breckler of Danville, Holly (Drew) Parker of Howard, L.J. (Christel) Breckler of Danville, Alissa (Joe) Davis of Glenmont, Kenny (Amber) Breckler of Mount Vernon, Brock Blaisdell – USCG – Conn., and Jessica (Matt) Horlacher of Mount Vernon; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine (Yearous) Hull of Danville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Blaisdell, whom she married June 21, 1957. He died Jan. 16, 1983. She was also preceded in death by a special friend, Chuck Treen.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with Mr. Stan Ratliff officiating. Burial will be in the Workman Cemetery at Danville.
