MOUNT VERNON — Erma M. Hults, 91, of Mount Vernon, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at the Whispering Hills Care Center in Mount Vernon.
Erma was born April 5, 1918, in Knox County to Charles and Maude (Sockman) Brown, was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and had spent her lifetime in the Knox County area. She had been a former employee of the Lamb Glass Co. in Mount Vernon and the Mount Vernon AAA office.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kay Hults of Fredericktown; her sister, Jean Hurlow of Mount Vernon; and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Joyce Brown of Centerburg.
Besides her parents Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hults; and siblings Mildred Moore, Anna Brown, Wilbur Brown, Dale Brown and Betty Hardman.
Friends may call Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
