FREDERICKTOWN — H. Jean Zimmerman, 87, of Carol Drive, Fredericktown, passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.

She was born Aug. 11, 1922, to the late Jules and Olive Mae (Pierce) Houssiere. Jean was a member of the Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Women of the Moose.

She is survived by her four daughters, Linda Sigman of Bangs, Sally Morrison of Tampa, Fla., Nancy Diehl of Fredericktown and Peggy Hughes of Westerville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Zimmerman; a granddaughter, Marcie Jo Hall; two sisters, Evelyn McClellan and Marguerite Kearns; and four sons-in-law, Ray Sigman, Ken Morrison, Tom Diehl and Herb Hughes.

Per Jean’s request, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a graveside service in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens at a date to be announced. The Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of H. Jean Zimmerman.
