FREDERICKTOWN — Opal Anderson, 83, of South Main Street, Fredericktown, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at Knox Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 16, 1926, in Mount Vernon to the late Francis and Zella Marie (Ridenbaugh) Fry. She was a lifetime member of the Eagles and Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge, both of Mount Vernon. She attended the New Life Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed the quality time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, William Anderson of Fredericktown; a daughter, Saundra (Chris) Miracle of Fredericktown; two grandchildren, Angel (Chris) Harmon and Andrew Parnell, both of Mount Vernon; and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Anderson; two brothers, Howard Fry and Harold Fry; and a sister, Edna Mae Fry.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 20, from 3 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at the New Life Church of the Nazarene, 998 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Opal Anderson.
