UTICA — Mildred Elizabeth Toothman, 80, of Utica died Nov. 16, 2009, at the Arlington Care Center in Newark.
She was born Sept. 14, 1929, in Fallsburg Township, Licking County, to the late John and Lelia (Wilson) Willey. After the death of her mother in February 1930, Mildred lived in the home of the late Joseph and Ethel (Baker) Danielson. Mildred attended the Long Run Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Glenn W. Toothman; daughters, Sharon E. Wood of Newark and Karla J. (Michael) Keeton of White House, Tenn.; sisters, Jane (Jimmie) Jones and Margaret (Jay) Thompson, both of St. Louisville; daughter-in-law, Pam Toothman of Newark; grandchildren, Rachel (Rory) Nesbitt, Rebecca (Shaun) Holloway, Rex (Meagan) Toothman, Juston Wood, James Wood, Kristin Keeton and William Keeton; a great-granddaughter, Jenna Wood; sisters-in-law, Darlene Willey of Newark, Mildred Willey of Frazeysburg and Lelia Willey of Atlanta, Ga.; and brother-in-law, Vaughn Rice of Mount Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her son, Roger William Toothman; brothers, Floyd, Russell, Glen and Harold Edgar Willey; sisters, Helen Rector, Pauline Keller and Ethel Rice; and a sister-in-law, Marabell Willey.
Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Bladensburg, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Myers officiating. Friends may also call one hour prior to services on Friday. Burial will follow in Bladensburg Cemetery.
