DANVILLE — Dolly M. Martin, 73, of Shadley Valley Road, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

She was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Logan to the late Virgil and Goldie (Fish) Sowards. She married Lloyd Martin on Sept. 30, 1956, who survives. She was the former owner of This & That Furniture in Danville.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Martin of Danville; six children, Debra Thompson of Florida, Tom (Jackie) Martin of Mount Vernon, Debbie Ann Jones of Mount Vernon, Louise (Torg) Scott of Loudonville, Lisa Martin of Danville and Richard (Cindy) Martin of Danville; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four brothers and sisters, Wanda and Jade of Atlanta, Ga., Terry of Dundee and Jerry of Mount Vernon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Farley and Romona Jean Frazee.

Funeral services will be held at Monday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with the Rev. Jack Dearth officiating. Interment will follow in Workman Cemetery.
