MOUNT VERNON — John E. Kesman, born Nov. 4, 1935, to John and Margaret (Helesic) Kesman in Marianna, Pa., passed away in his sleep on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009.

He was a highly skilled tool and dye enthusiast, and just attended a reunion at Fischer Body for tool and dye in Cleveland. He loved piloting airplanes, riding motorcycles and barber shopping. John was presently employed with Sanoh America for the past 10 years with a perfect attendance record. He was with L.B. Manufacturing prior to Sanoh.

John will be greatly missed by his children, John (Valerie) Kesman, Paul Kesman, Joel Kesman, Norma (John) Parker, Daniel Kesman and James Kesman; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; his brother, Leonard (Dreama) Kesman; his sister, Annetta (Mitch) Perry; and also by his dear friend, Suzanne Andrews.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Jean (Campbell) Kesman.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 27, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
