BELLVILLE — Maryellen Heinberger, 81, Bellville, died Nov. 24, 2009, in her daughter’s Knox County home.

She was born April 28, 1928, in Mansfield, to Cloyd H. and Frieda (Waddell) Hoopes, and due to her mother’s untimely death, was raised by her maternal grandparents, William and Mary Waddell. Maryellen worked 20 years with North Central Personnel Home Care. In 1995, she was honored by the state of Ohio as Home Health Aide of the Year.

Surviving are daughters, Marilyn Ward and Mary Catherine Wigton; sons, R. Randall Heinberger and Richard A. “Rick” Heinberger; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her husband, H.R. “Bob” Heinberger, died Nov. 11, 1984.

Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m., in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where funeral will be Monday, 1 p.m. Pastor Steve Kistler will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
