KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — William R. “Bill” Brenneman, 63, of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Pembroke Pines, Fla., passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 29, 2009, after a long battle with heart disease.
Bill moved to Knoxville in 1987 and loved East Tennessee and his farm. He was a member of the East Tennessee Polled Hereford Association. Bill retired from the FDIC as a federal investigator. He was a former employee of the Tennessee Credit Union League and a former CEO of Oak Ridge Hospital Employees Credit Union.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Samuel Brenneman and Verna Jean Pearce Brenneman; sister, Joyce Brenneman Conyers.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Peggy Brenneman; son and daughter-in-law, William Bradley Brenneman and Kimberly Sue of Virginia; grandchildren, Lauren Kae and Robert James Brenneman; 16 nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Terry Samuels, Hank and Shirlene Siegel, Emery S. Conyers; his beloved dog and faithful companion, Morgan.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with the Rev. Linda Parton officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. at the Crestview Memorial Park in Grove City, Pa.
