MOUNT VERNON — Richard M. “Dick” Deminski, 80, of Mount Vernon died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at his residence.
Dick was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Cleveland to Michael and Margaret (Fekete) Deminski. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Engineering, with a degree in mechanical engineering and was retired from A.C.I. Services in Mount Vernon. He was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon, was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Methodist Men’s Club in Conway, S.C., and had served on various committees at the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. Dick was a 40-year member of the Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn L. (Stillwell) Deminski, whom he married Aug. 29, 1953; his son, Michael Deminski of Denver, Colo.; daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Robert Kuehne of Highland, Mich.; five granddaughters, Kara Deminski, Hannah Deminski, Leah Deminski, Laura Kuehne and Christine Kuehne; and his sister, Viola Lade of Cleveland. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Service will be Sunday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. at the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon, with the Rev. Warren Outhwaite officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens at a later date.
