WARSAW — Diane S. Mikesell, 65, of 19369 Township Road 382, Warsaw, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at Licking County Memorial Hospital in Newark.
She was born June 3, 1944, in Columbus to the late John and Virginia (Price) Osborn. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She married Wirt H. Mikesell in June 1990. She was the owner/operator of Whispering Springs Farm, where she and Wirt loved to raise boer goats and border collies. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Wirt Mikesell of Warsaw; three children, Davina Dixon of Coshocton, Chris (Melanie) Roberts of Warsaw and Abby (Andrew) Morris of Walhonding; her grandchildren, Katelynd Latham, Evan Roberts, Cole, Josie and Lane Morris; an expected granddaughter; her sister, April (Ed Johnson) Osborn of Phoenix, Ariz.; her niece and nephew, Rex and Alexandra Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Wirt’s children, Lee Jane (Gail) Williamson and their daughter, Hannah, of Warsaw, and Sarah (Patrick) Mintus and their children, Zachary and Claire of Aurora, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah Osborn.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Perry Chapel Baptist Church, 19476 Township Road 380, Warsaw, OH 43844, with the Rev. Monica Huntsman officiating. Visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw.
