MOUNT LIBERTY — Gregory Lee Parker, 64, lifelong resident of Mount Liberty, left his family and friends to be with the Angels on Dec. 21, 2009.

Greg was born April 26, 1945, in Mount Vernon to Charles and Wilma (Smith) Parker. He graduated from Centerburg High School in 1966. He was a member of The Willow Grove Advent Christian Church. He was also a member of Pacemakers Dragway and Mount Liberty Deer Hunter Association.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Betty (Jackson) Parker of 43 years; only daughter, Darcy (Brian) Baldridge; two sons, Drew (Holly) Parker and Dana (Amber) Parker; nine grandchildren, Courtney (Alan) Railing, Braxton (Hali) Baldridge, Jessica, Destinay, DeAnna, Daleigh, Deion Parker, Kaylee Cella and Hunter Parker; great-grandchildren, Leelynd and Conner Railing and Cooper Baldridge. He is also survived by an aunt and uncle, Hank and Nellie Boyd.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; two brothers, Sonny and Terry; and sister, Helen.

Friends may call Wednesday, Dec. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg. Graveside service and burial will be held Dec. 24 at 11 a.m. at Mount Liberty Cemetery on Simmons Church Road in Mount Liberty.
