MARENGO — Homer Ray Bartram, 74, of Marengo died Dec. 27, 2009, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He was born in Lenore, W.Va., on Feb. 18, 1935, to the late Ira and June (Canterbury) Bartram. He was a longtime employee of Marble Cliff Concrete in Columbus; and retired from The Columbus Dispatch.

Survived by his wife of 54 years, Gladys (Evans); sons, Dallas (Brenda) Bartram and Randy (Tina) Bartram of Marengo, Homer R. (Cathy) Bartram II of Delaware; daughters, Sabrina (Johnny) Salazar and Christa Bartram of Marengo, Shelba (Scott) Miracle of Mount Vernon; brother, Foster (Hazel) Bartram of Florida; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.

Also preceded in death by grandson, Ricky Knapp; and sister, Betty Johnson.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 229 in Marengo, where service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gilbert R. Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in Fargo Cemetery.
