CROTON — Dallas E. Ray, 76, of Croton went home to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at St. Ann’s Hospital.

He was born May 16, 1933, in Swords Creek, Va., to the late Arey Ray and Mary (Vance) Ball. He retired from Rockwell International as a press operator.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby (Hess) Ray, whom he married Sept. 27, 1952; sons, Scott (Veronica) Ray of Minerva, Rob (Michelle) of Gambier; daughters, Shirley (Jeff) Boudinot of Croton, Brenda (Terry) Gast of Frazeysburg, Cindy (John Swartz) Price of Centerburg, Mindy (Tim Lyon) Ray of Galena; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; half brother, George Ball; and half sisters, Grace Hudson and Reva Thacker.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 2, at 1 p.m. at the Enterprise Baptist Church, 377 Clayton St., Centerburg, OH 43011, with Pastor Mark Tuggle officiating. Arrangements entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
