FREDERICKTOWN — Bethel Sanson, 73, of Fredericktown passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.

Bethel was born and grew up in Webbville, Ky., to the late Orville and Georgia Holbrook. She retired from Federal Glass after 22 1/2 years of service. She was a member of God’s Anointed Alter in Cardington. Throughout Bethel’s life, music and dancing always played a large role, she enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, singing, and flatfoot dancing. Always known as a “cut-up,” Bethel loved a good time, and especially to laugh.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Kenny, Paul, Clayton and Leslie Wilks, Doris Jean Friedley, Ann Wilks Perry and Mary Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Kenneth Sanson; sons, Sheridan (Mary) and Darell (Nancy) Sanson; grandchildren, Yvonne, Mahisha, and David Sanson and Brittney Hickey; siblings, Mike and Bill Holbrook, Herbert, Steve and Harvey Wilks, Dorothy Wilks Williams and Lillian Beach; and many other extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, at 10 a.m. at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, where family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Donna Ball will officiate. Interment will be in Obetz Cemetery.
