PENASCO, N.M. — Mary C. (Blanchard) Hinds, 57, of Penasco, N.M., left her family and friends to be with our Lord on Dec. 26, 2009.
She was a graduate of Danville High School; and employed at various jobs from embroidery, to stage handing to ski instructor. Mary was a lover of nature, music, crafts, animals, family and friends, and her five rescued dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Hinds, whom she married July 10, 1981; daughter, Jennifer (Gus) McIntosh of Columbus; sons, Jim (Stacey) Shultz of Danville and Jeff Shultz and girl friend Angie of Brinkhaven; grandchildren, Louis McIntosh, Tess and Sophie Shultz and Lacy Shultz; mother, Ruth (Blanchard) Carlo of Mount Vernon; brothers, Mike Blanchard of Danville and Kevin Blanchard of Mount Vernon; mother-in-law, Eleanor Hinds of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Cherrie (Hinds) Rutschlling and Laura Hinds; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Blanchard; stepfather, Dominick Carlo; father-in-law, Howard Hinds; brother-in-law, Joe Hinds; and sister-in-law, Susie Hinds.
A memorial Mass will be Jan. 15, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Danville. Celebrant will be the Rev. Father Richard Snoke with concelebrant the Rev. Father Homer Blubaugh.
In lieu of flowers the Hinds family has requested memorial contributions be made to one’s local animal humane society or animal rescue.
