MOUNT VERNON — Cynthia G. “Cindy” Mills, 51, of Mount Vernon died Jan. 11, 2010, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born Jan. 19, 1958, in Steubenville. Cindy was a member of the Harvest Christian Center and Woman’s of AGLOW, she was the marketing director for That Place on Market in Danville and also had worked for Time Warner Cable Sales. Cindy earned her Masters in Business from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2007. She was very active in community service throughout her life. Cindy was a blood donor who was proud of reaching the two gallon donor status.
She is survived by her daughter, Tori Mills of Lakeland, Fla.; her son, Ben Mills of Mount Vernon; parents, Thomas and Gerry Hartsouk of Follansbee, W.Va.; stepson, Michael (Lori) Mills of Howard; sisters, Cathy Dean of Colliers, W.Va., Carolyn Dennis of Steubenville and Cheryl Jones of Westerville; nieces, Lita, Amanda, Christina, Mandy Joe and Madison; nephews, John Thomas, James, Mark, James Haden and Matthew; and her cat, Precious.
Her mother-in-law, Helen Mills, preceded her in death.
Friends may call Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Dan Emmett Conference Center, 160 Howard St., Mount Vernon, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dan Lund officiating. Burial will be in Mound View Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling the funeral arrangements for the Mills family.
