ST. LOUISVILLE — A funeral service for Donald E. Street, 81, of St. Louisville will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Evans Cemetery.
Don died Jan. 12, 2010, at Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon. He was born Sept. 19, 1928, in Newark to the late Samuel M. and Mary (Baumgartner) Street. Don was a St. Louisville Councilman, a Navy veteran and was employed at The Miller Co. in Utica for 25 years. He was a John Deere collector, he loved bluegrass music and played the five-string banjo.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty J. (Warthen) Street of St. Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Diana Street of Newark; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mark VanWinkle of St. Louisville; grandchildren, Eric (Deanna) VanWinkle of Raleigh, N.C., and Tobie J. Street of Newark; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Celeste VanWinkle of Raleigh, N.C.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Robert.
