FREDERICKTOWN — Regina Ann Mizer, 47, of Fredericktown died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Regina was born Jan. 27, 1962, in California where she graduated from high school. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fredericktown. Regina was an avid supporter and contributor to the Mount Vernon High School Drama Club. She served as a volunteer with the Fredericktown Tomato Show, Little Miss Tomato contest and also volunteered with the Little Miss Knox County contest. Regina was a loving and caring individual and often had children into her home, where she gave them comfort and support during difficult times in their lives. Also, Regina was an avid lover of Chihuahuas.
Surviving are her husband, Todd Mizer, whom she married July 10, 1988; her children, Alyssa Mizer of Morgantown, W.Va., and Ian Mizer of Fredericktown; her mother, Regina (McGavin) Sullivan of Lincoln, Calif.; her sisters, Pat Hale of Lincoln, Calif., and Maureen Sullivan of Lil Burn, Ga.; and her brothers, Charles H. Sullivan III of Indianapolis, Ind., Thomas Sullivan and Michael Sullivan, both of Concord, Calif.
Regina was preceded in death by her father, Charles H. Sullivan II.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Fredericktown First Baptist Church, 22 E. Sandusky St., Fredericktown, with the Rev. Mary Miller officiating.
