MOUNT VERNON — A funeral service for Whitney Lynn Parkinson, 22, of Mount Vernon will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, at 1 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Whitney died Jan. 13, 2010, at her residence. She was born Jan. 5, 1988, in Newark to Roger D. and Deborah E. (Wise) Parkinson. Whitney was a Utica High School graduate.

She is survived by her father, Roger D. Parkinson of Thornville; mother and stepfather, Deborah and Jeff Linger of Utica; brother, Tyler D. Parkinson of Thornville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Serena and Troy Jones of Newark, Tiffany and Chuck Jacobs of Melbourne, Fla.; and boyfriend, Leonard Murphy of Mount Vernon.

Friends may call Saturday, Jan. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.
