MARIETTA — Mildred Vannatta, 92, of Marietta, formerly of Mount Vernon, died Thursday evening, Jan. 14, 2010, at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Mildred was the daughter of Curtis Fletcher and Melba (Ferenbaugh) Fletcher. She was employed as a secretary at Cooper Energy Services in Mount Vernon and was a member of the Marietta Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Dan) Grammer of Marietta; four grandchildren, Dana (David) Dwyer, Douglas (Cyndi) Grammer, Denise (Richard) Pye, Donald (Jennifer) Grammer; and 17 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Vannatta; and a sister, Dorothea Robinson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Jan. 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon. The family will also receive friends Monday, Jan. 18, from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1010 Beech St., Mount Vernon. Burial will follow in the Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
