HOWARD — James A. “Jim” Littleton, 61, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at his residence.

He was born June 2, 1948, in Mansfield to Helen M. (Walker) and M. Delmar Littleton. He was a member of the Richland County Mounted Deputies, the NRA, the Cooking Club of America, the Texas Longhorn Association, the Ohio River Valley Texas Longhorn Association, the Texas Longhorn Marketing Alliance, the Ohio Farm Bureau, the Ohio Cattleman’s Association, and was a lifetime member of the North American Fishing Club.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Littleton of Howard; his parents, Delmar and Helen Littleton of Howard; his brother, Richard (Vicki) Littleton of Howard; sons, Shane K. (Jill), Andrew (Ashley), and Jonathon (Sarah) Littleton; a stepson, Jerad VanRhoden; his mother-in-law, Mary Schisler; and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. in the Workman Cemetery in Danville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Knox Community Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 1330 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements;
