HOWARD — Steven Baker, 51, of East Street, Howard, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at his home.

He was born June 12, 1958, in Mount Vernon to Fenton and LeeAnn (Taylor) Baker. Steven was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his son, Brock (Stephanie) Baker of Chilhowie, Va.; two daughters, Heather (Kevin) Davidson of Saltville, Va., Holly (Jason) Crider of Butler; his mother, LeeAnn Peyers of Howard; five grandchildren; and two brothers, James Baker of Howard and Jeff (Tina) Baker of Gambier. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Fenton Baker.

There will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private service at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Steven Baker family.
