HOWARD — James L. Smigelski, 66, of Howard passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010.

He was born June 20, 1943, in Cleveland to Julius and Sylvia (Tloczyski) Smigelski. James worked and retired as an engineer for SBC-Ameritech. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Barbara (Kaminski) Smigelski; two sons, Jason and Jeff; his mother, Sylvia; and a brother, Donald and his wife, Christine.

James was preceded in death by his father, Julius.

Friends may call Sunday, Jan. 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. A service will follow at 1 p.m.
