PATASKALA — A funeral service for Jeffrey B. Robinson, 48, of Pataskala will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, with Pastor Ross Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson passed away Jan. 27, 2010, at Grant Medical Center. He was born Dec. 27, 1961, in Newark to Howard and Virginia Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a standout athlete in high school who had a true passion for baseball. He was the 1977 World Series Babe Ruth championship pitcher for the Newark 16- to 18-year-old team. He also coached baseball and was very active in the Watkins Memorial Athletic Boosters. He was a former member of the Newton Township Fire Department, and also had his private pilots license. He was an employee of McKnaughton-McKay Electric, where he was recently promoted to operations manager overseeing three locations. Mr. Robinson gave the precious gift of life by donating his organs to those who needed them. He was baptized Lutheran, and was a devoted husband, son, father, brother and friend. He had tremendous patience, and was the kindest and most caring person you would ever meet. He truly loved his family more than anything. He will be truly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Tamara, who was also his high school sweetheart; father, Howard Robinson of St. Louisville; children, Lynley (Jason Harris) Robinson and Eric Robinson, both of the home; siblings, Dale (Janet) Tabler of Newark, James (Lori) Tabler of St. Louisville, Clark (Linda) Robinson of Newark, Jane (Gary) Rine of Dawsonville, Ga., Richard (Patricia) Robinson of Pataskala, David (Vickie) Robinson of Michigan, Paul (Debbie) Peru of Indiana and Stephen (Kathy) Robinson of St. Louisville; brother-in-law, Stephen (Kristen) Kenney of Pataskala; father and mother-in-law, Carl (Thelma Jean) Kenney of Utica; aunt, Elizabeth Walton of Utica; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
His mother, Virginia Robinson, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends and relatives Monday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
