MOUNT VERNON — Janice Henthorn, 88, of Mount Vernon died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon.
Janice was born Nov. 26, 1921, in Circleville to Robert and Ruth (Howard) Schisler. She was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and had been a resident of Mount Vernon most of her lifetime. Janice was a former employee of Wise Jewelry Store in Mount Vernon. She was a member of the First Church of God on Pine Street in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jane Henthorn of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Jennifer Henthorn, Jessica (Jeff) Strong and Jeremy Henthorn; her great-grandchildren, Abigail and Alexis Strong; and her sisters, Charlene Moore of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Gladys “Ginny” Woosley of Mount Vernon.
Besides her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Camden Henthorn; and her brothers, Robert Schisler, Carl Schisler and Francis Schisler.
Friends may call Thursday, Feb. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Fulda officiating. Burial will follow at Mound View Cemetery.
