MOUNT VERNON — Myriam J. Kerr, 88, of Mount Vernon died Feb. 11, 2010,
at the Ohio Eastern Star Home.
She was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Mount Vernon to the late Harold B. and Vivian
Dale (Hutton) Corwin. Myriam was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist
Church, Order of the Eastern Star Knox Chapter 236 and was previously employed
at The Station Break for 10 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Keller of Mount Vernon; son, Charles (Anita)
Kerr of Howard; grandchildren, Mitzi (Mike) Behnke of Austin, Texas, Ben (Amy)
Kerr of Mount Vernon, Nicki (Michael) Smith of Wilbraham, Mass., Lorianne Brown
of South Carolina, Steven Kerr of Howard; six great-grandchildren, Brooke, Austin,
Caroline, Vivian, Lily and Norah.
Myriam was preceded in death by her former husband, Ben Kerr; and a daughter,
Sandra Posnansky.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home,
212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon, where an Eastern Star Service will be held at
6 p.m. Burial in Mound View Cemetery will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Myriam’s name to the Order of Eastern
Star Knox Chapter 236.
