BUTLER — Harry D. “Abe” Freeman, 79, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, in Knox Community Hospital.

He was born Feb. 12, 1931, in Belmont to Harry J. and Ethel (Taylor) Freeman. He served with the U.S. Army and went to work with the railroads.

He is survived by his wife, Billie; sons, Kevin (Ruth) Freeman, Kurt (Lois) Freeman, Wayne (Pat) Ousley, Russ (Lynn) Ousley and Danny Ousley; daughter, Sharon Fulton; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Nina Westmoreland, Naomi Booth and Judy Lonberger; and a brother, Larry Freeman.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

Family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, and Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Ken Kinley will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park, where American Legion Post 535 will hold graveside military honors.
