HOWARD — Norma Jean Fisher, 77, of Apple Valley passed peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
She was born Feb. 10, 1933, to the late John and Elizabeth (Steed) Leasure in Sistersville, W.Va. Norma retired from the Mount Vernon Developmental Center. Her greatest joy in life was her family, which she blessed and cultivated with an abundant love.
Norma is survived by her beloved daughters, Jeanne Todd (Tony) Presutto of Canton, and Amy (Jim Ed) Cobbs and Carrie (Joey) Hinkle, both of Columbus; loving grandchildren, Rick (April) Fisher, Nathan (Crystal) Fisher, Justin (Janelle) Todd, Eric Fisher, Elisabeth and Olivia Cobbs and Abraham Hinkle; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Graham of Valley, Wash.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard J. Fisher Sr.; son, Richard J. Fisher Jr.; grandson, Ryan Todd (Teryn); son-in-law, Danny Todd; brother, John Leasure; and sisters, Virgina Sheese and Shirley Garrison.
A celebration of Norma’s life will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at The Journey Church, 11968 Schenck Creek Road, Howard, OH 43028, with Pastor Tim Barenscheer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice, 3595 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43214. A private interment will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens at a later date.
