ST. LOUISVILLE — A funeral service for Harry Gayheart will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, with Pastor Jerry Owens presiding. Interment will follow at Eden Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Gayheart, age 80, was born April 4, 1929, in Hindman, Ky., to his late parents, Brown L. and Dora Lee (Pridemore) Gayheart. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was retired from Tectum Manufacturing. He liked to garden and coon hunting and enjoyed anyone who would sit at his B.S. Bench and listen to him. Harry passed away Feb. 25, 2010, at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Gayheart is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary “Lois” Gayheart; daughters, Cindy (Jerry) Casebolt of Walhonding, Peggy Gayheart of St. Louisville and Dora (Joe) Kieber of St. Louisville; grandchildren, Becky, Jim, Cody, Brady and Caden; great-grandchildren, Alex, Quentin, Brody and Caylynn; sister, Dana Jean Wright,of Lavonia, Ga. ,as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
