MOUNT VERNON — Sally A. Bowling, 75, of Mount Vernon passed away Monday morning, March 1, 2010, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon.

She was born Nov. 20, 1934, in Clarksville, Tenn., a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Lorena (Hiter) Bryant Sr.

Sally is survived by her daughter, Pam (Bob) Maynard of Mount Vernon; a son, Bill Harris of Mount Vernon; a daughter-in-law, Debbie (Ron) Campbell of Howard; three granddaughters, Tammy (Rick) Ridgeway, Roxann Maynard, BilliJo (Shawn) Swihart; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe L. Bryant Jr. of North Carolina and William Bryant of Benton, Ky.; and sisters, Mary Dickmeyer of Alexandria, Minn., and Virginia Hutchins of Hopkinsville, Ky.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Bowling; a brother, Earl Bryant; and a sister, Pat Boyer.

The family would like to express thanks to the entire staff at the Ohio Eastern Star Home, and Dr. Jeffrey Bowers for their love and excellent care given to Sally.

The family will have a private service. Burial will be in Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to the Ohio Eastern Star Home, 1451 Gambier Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
