FREDERICKTOWN — Gregory A. Stanley, 63, of Knox Lake Road, Fredericktown, died Wednesday evening, March 3, 2010, at his home.

He was born Aug. 16, 1946, in Ipswich Queensland, Australia, a son of the late Allan and Alsia (Seymore) Stanley. Greg was the owner and operator of the JR Enterprise in Butler and was a Merchant Marine in Australia.

Greg is survived by his wife, Claudia (Geary) Stanley; daughters, Donna York and Veronica Stanley, both of Mansfield, Kerry Stapleton of Butler and Sarah Frost of Shelby; stepsons, Brandon Miller of Fredericktown and Zach Miller of Columbus; stepdaughters, Shannon Russ and Heather Laher, both of Fredericktown, and Amanda McAuley of Butler; 16 grandchildren; and three sisters abroad.

In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Stanley.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, 81 Mill Road, Bellville. A private family service will take place at a later date.
