MOUNT VERNON — Louise Wright, 83, of Mount Vernon passed away Friday afternoon, March 5, 2010, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Knox County, a daughter of the late Clinton “Roy” and Dorothy Leah (Coe) Moreland. Louise was a member of the Milford Church of Christ and the Northside Church of Christ and was a homemaker.

Louise is survived by a son, Dan (Sally) Wright of Mount Vernon; two daughters, Linda (Donald) Shaffer of Bellville and Barbara (Robert) Eisenbach of Newark; grandchildren, Lori (Bill) Polkinghorn, and R.L. and Eric Eisenbach; great-grandchildren, Madeline and Liam Polkinghorn; and a brother, Gary (Lois) Moreland of Centerburg.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Wayne Wright, in 1996; and a sister, Jean Noble.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 9, at 11 a.m. with Bruce Hissong and Evangelist Troy Northrop officiating. Burial will follow in the Homer Cemetery.
