FREDERICKTOWN — Wallace Benjamin Stringer, 73, of Zent Avenue, Fredericktown, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home at Mount Vernon.

He was born June 10, 1936, in Mansfield, to the late Waldo and Alice (Andrews) Stringer. Wallace was a 1954 graduate of Fredericktown High School and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Petroleum Helicopters Inc. as a helicopter mechanic.

He is survived by a son, Terry (Danette) Stringer of Florence, Ariz.; a daughter, Sherrie (Steven) Doane of Fredericktown; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elenore Daniels of Fredericktown.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will observe a private graveside service at a later date. The Snyder Funeral Home of Fredericktown is honored to have been chosen to serve the family of Wallace Benjamin Stringer.
