MOUNT VERNON — Dolores A. Waddell, 78, of Mount Vernon died Saturday evening, March 27, 2010, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Danville, a daughter of the late William and Flora (Young) Losh. Dolores retired from Columbia Gas in Bangs. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon and was also a member of the AMVETS, VFW and the Eagles. Dolores enjoyed going to casinos.
Dolores is survived by her son, Max E. (Beverly) Waddell of Mount Vernon; daughters, Sharon (Bud) Erwin of Mount Vernon, Carol (Earl) Campfield of Reynoldsburg and Chris (Larry) Flegm of Lexington; grandchildren, Patty Frye, Seth Erwin, Angie Kunz, Shawn Flegm and Todd Campfield; several great-grandkids; brothers, the Rev. Father Joseph Losh of Columbus, Paul (Patricia) Losh of Mount Vernon and James Losh of Greenleaf, Ore.; a sister, Mary Wolford of Defiance; special friend and companion of 40 years, Dorothy Gross of Mount Vernon; and special friends, Darlene (Roy) Wilson, Annette Goeppinger and Jim (Stefanie) Meyer, all of Mount Vernon.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Waddell, in 1970; and a sister, Cecilia Losh.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 31, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
