MOUNT VERNON — Patricia Fowler Stricker, 65, of Mount Vernon died March 29, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Dec. 19, 1944, in Mount Vernon to the late Joseph H. and Opal L. (Bailey-Fowler) Dial. Patricia was a member of the Covenant Christian Church, Women of the Moose, Women’s Auxiliary of the VFW and the AMVETS.
Patricia is survived by her partner for life, John Scott of Mount Vernon; son, Ronald Lawson of Florida; daughter, Wanda Lawson-Board of Mount Vernon; stepdaughters, Hope Smith of Mount Vernon and Michelle (Joe) Rice of Westerville; grandchildren, Josh (Alicia) Lawson, Adam Simpson, Tessa Huffman, Chris Scott, Josh Smith, Jeffrey Smith and Andrew Rice; stepmother, Irene Fowler of Mount Vernon; brother, George (Jean) Fowler of Gambier; stepbrothers, Ronald (Candace) Laymon of Fredericktown and James (Kathy) Laymon of Mount Vernon; stepsister, Judy (Robert) Tubbs of Virginia; sister-in-law, Judy Fowler; four great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, her brother, Robert Fowler, preceded Patricia in death in 2003.
Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Covenant Christian Church of God, where a memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Tim Overly officiating. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
