MOUNT VERNON — Alberta A. Nance, 65, of McGibney Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at the Knox Community Hospital.

She was born March 12, 1945, in Lorain, Ohio, to the late Earl and Juanita (Schaffer) Hartman. Alberta was employed as a bus driver for numerous school districts throughout her career.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Netkowicz of Lorain, Julie Simons of Elyria, Diane (Jerry) Brady of Orlando, Fla.; two sons, Roger Nance of Mount Vernon, Joseph Nance of Elyria; five grandsons; and two sisters, Margaret (Earl) Davis of Elyria, and Anne (Robert) Colley of Wellington.

Besides her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, James Nance; a brother, Earl; and two sisters, Wilma and Leona.

There will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private graveside service at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to have been chosen to serve the family of Alberta A. Nance.
