MARENGO — Ernest E. “Ernie” Duncan, 62, of Marengo died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, after a long battle with cancer at Morrow County Hospital, Mount Gilead.

He was born March 25, 1948, in Edinburg, Texas to the late Otho and Ethel (Hendrickson) Duncan. He was a member of the Sparta Advent Christian Church. A self-employed plasterer in Mount Vernon and Gambier, he worked under contract with Kenyon College.

He is survived by his wife, Diana (Bushong) Duncan; son, Mark (fiancée Cindy) of Marengo; daughter, Kristi Duncan of Marengo; four grandchildren; brothers, Arthur (Linda) of Mount Vernon, Keith (Judy) of Marengo; sister, Patty (Howard) Pontius of Centerburg.

Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Graveside inurnment will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
