Martha was preceded in death by one grandchild, Alyssa Matulich (the daughter of Josef and Kit).
Before her illness overtook her, Martha was very active in her Florida community. She created beautiful jewelry and stained glass. She enjoyed having a membership to the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Fla., and visited it (and many other zoos around the country) every chance she got. She also worked as a volunteer for the Haven thrift store, a resale shop that benefits the local children’s shelter. Volunteerism was not new to Martha. When she lived in the Knox County area, Martha volunteered for many years in the Day Surgery Department at Knox Community Hospital. She made lifelong friends in the Mount Vernon area while working at KCH. She visited Ohio when she was able and kept in contact with them in Florida. She will be missed.
