MOUNT VERNON — Marie E. Trowbridge, 92, of Mount Vernon died April 4, 2010, in the ICU at Knox Community Hospital.

She was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Chesterville to the late Chester and Edith (Dicus) Mumaw. Marie was a member of the Gay Street United Methodist Church and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star Knox Chapter 236.

She is survived by two sons, James (Mary) Trowbridge and Larry Trowbridge, both of Mount Vernon; a sister, Doris McCullough of Wooster; her grandchildren, Craig Trowbridge, Doug (Mildred) Trowbridge, Kathy Trowbridge, all of Mount Vernon, Barry (Carol) Trowbridge and Lori Trowbridge, both of Newark; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Trowbridge; and her sister, Irene Elwood.

Friends may call Wednesday, April 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. David A. Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
