WESTERVILLE — Clarence “JR” Dishman, 71, died April 9, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with COPD.
Born in Campbellsville, Ky., on June 16, 1938, to the late Stanley and Virgie (Wingler) Dishman, he was also preceded in death by an infant son, David Allen.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley; daughter, Linda; grandchildren, Brian (Danette, daughter Haley), Melissa (Jimmy); great-grandchildren, Brian, Sophia, James, Konner; brother, Charles (Kathy); nieces and nephews.
He retired from the Clinton Township Police Department after 28 years.
His family expresses appreciation to the doctors and nurses of palliative care at St. Ann’s Hospital.
Memorial service will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. at New Bethel Christian Union Church, 14144 Bethel Road, Croton, Ohio. Arrangements entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
