WALHONDING — Donald E. Creighton, 57, of Walhonding died unexpectedly at his residence on April 15, 2010.
He was born Nov. 24, 1952, in Cleveland to Donald Creighton and Jane Morehouse. Don was a Vietnam Army veteran earning the Purple Heart, a proud Life Member of the VFW Post 3426 in Columbus and the AMVETS Post 95 in Mount Vernon. He was also a 32-degree Mason in the Valley of Cambridge Lodge.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Paula (Fox) Creighton; daughter, Terri (Carl) Scholl of Columbus; his mother, Jane Drenning of Walhonding; grandchildren, Justin Creighton, Julia Scholl and Hayden Scholl; brothers, Terry Creighton of Columbus, Christopher Creighton of Tennessee; sisters, Cathy (Nick) Dougherty of Nelsonville, Candy (Mica) Jepsen of Hilliard; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Fox.
The family will hold private services at a later date. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Bladensburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
