MOUNT VERNON — Bruce Williamson, 69, of Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, April 19, 2010, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Oct. 18, 1940, in Marietta to the late Miles and Dorothy (Bennett) Williamson. Bruce owned and operated Williamson Insurance Agency in Coshocton before selling it and opening Apple Cove Realty in Howard in 1991. In 1992, he started Apple Valley Storage.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Donna (Roe) Williamson; two sons, Jim Williamson of Delaware, Ohio, and Jeff (Tiffani) Williamson of Howard; five grandchildren, Cassie and Tylar Williamson, Jeffery Skyler, Bryce and Makayla Williamson; a brother, Mark Williamson of Marietta; sister, Sue Smith of Hot Springs, Ark.; and close friend and business partner, Stephanie (Ron) Bainter-Mahring.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Millwood Church of Christ, 11961 Bridge Road, Howard, OH 43028, where friends may call one hour prior. Evangelist David Jones will be officiating. The Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Bruce Williamson.
