HOWARD — Connie M. Endsley, a resident of the Howard/Millwood area, passed Monday afternoon the 26th of April at Knox Community Hospital at the age of 67.
She was born at home in Lagonda, Pennsylvania, in 1942, to Jessie and Olive (Heath) Toland and grandparents, Henry and Cora (Huff) Toland and Wylie and Pearl (Lilley) Heath. Connie married Earl on July 31, 1965, and was a homemaker and business owner of the Derrick Inn for over 30 years. Together they raised a family of seven children, Donald (Susie) Endsley, Ronald Endsley, Mike (Diana) Endsley, Catrina (Regis) Fowler, Peggy Endsley, Jeff (Jamie) Endsley and Melissa (Mike) Lowe; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Connie is also survived by her husband of 45 years, Earl of Howard; her mother, Olive Toland; brothers, Dewain and Patricia Toland, Gaylord “Shorty” and Kathy Toland, Raymond and Sue Toland, and Bob and Dolly Toland, sister, Donna (Kenneth) Miles, and Charles (Margie) Conaway, all of Claysville, Pa.
In addition to her father and grandparents, Connie was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Conaway; and a sister, Eileen Toland.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 29, at 10 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, with Doug Denbow officiating. Interment will follow in Workman Cemetery in Danville. Calling hours will be today from 5 to 8 p.m.
