OBERLIN — Edna Lorraine White, 63, of Oberlin passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2010, at St. John West Shore Hospital in Westlake.

She was born June 16, 1946, in Mount Vernon and had been a resident of Oberlin for 46 years. She was employed by the Oberlin City School System for over 30 years as a school monitor and office aide. Edna was a member of Crossroads Christian Center in Oberlin and her favorite pastime was scrapbooking.

She is survived by her two sons, Charles “Anthony” White of Oberlin and John K. White Jr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister, Audrey Elaine Reid of Columbus; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, John K. White Sr., in 2004; and her parents, Charles V. and Carrie (nee Newlin) Holt.

Visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Center, 43824 Ohio 511 East in Oberlin, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at noon, with Pastor Santo Davilia officiating. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin.
